We participated in the autumn general assembly of the European Historic Thermal Towns Association (EHTTA), this time held in Montegrotto Terme. We represented the Karlovy Vary Region, which is the only region in the Czech Republic that is a member of this prestigious European network of more than 50 spa towns from 18 European countries.

The first day included an expert presentation by Crew Media, followed by the EHTTA forum and the scientific committee, of which ILaB Director Alina Huseynli is an active member. The evening ended with a gala dinner, which created a space for informal discussions and exchange of experiences with experts from all over Europe.

The second day was dedicated to the EHTTA General Assembly itself, where new projects and strategic plans of the association for the coming period were presented. The programme also included professional excursions, visiting, among others, the deepest thermal pool in Europe and selected spa facilities in Abano Terme.

Participation in the EHTTA General Assembly strengthens our efforts to build a centre for spa research on a European scale. The Czech Republic, and the Karlovy Vary Region in particular, is thus gradually becoming an important partner in the field of science, innovation and education in the spa industry.
