Manuals of spa therapeutic and rehabilitation care

The series of manuals on spa and rehabilitation care was commissioned by the Karlovy Vary Business Development Agency with the support of the Smart Accelerator 2.0 programme. The aim of the manuals is to help health care professionals (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists) in providing health care for patients treated in spas.

  1. Manual of spa therapeutic and rehabilitation care. Methodology of administering balneotherapy procedures I. - this volume is intended primarily for spa care providers - doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and masseurs. However, other physicians and students of medical disciplines interested in performing medical procedures will also find information in it.
  2. Manual of Spa Therapeutic and Rehabilitation Care Methodology of Balneotherapy Procedures II - the second part of the Manual of Methodology of Balneotherapy Procedures is focused on the part of physiotherapy that deals with scientifically based therapeutic application of various types of energy on the human body.
  3. Manual of spa therapeutic-rehabilitation care Methodology of balneotherapy procedures III - this volume is devoted to treatment in the form of hydrotherapy, thermotherapy and mechanotherapy.

Finally, it focuses on the economics of balneotherapy, cost items and profitability.

Lessons from practice - this handbook offers a practical approach to doctor-patient communication, as their relationship fundamentally influences the success of spa treatment. A patient undergoing complex spa treatment in a spa facility comes into contact with medical staff (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, nutritional therapists, spa therapists, auxiliary medical staff) and service staff (waiters, waitresses, maids, cleaners, etc.).
