We focus on research and objectification of acute and long-term effects of spa treatment on the human body, we deal with the issue of natural medicinal resources and socio-economic aspects of spa.
The main objective of the project is to build an environment and infrastructure for the implementation of scientific research activities in the field of spa and balneology with high application potential and the prospect of a significant contribution to the economic growth of the Karlovy Vary Region.
In the course of our short four years of operation, we have achieved significant successes, including obtaining patents, utility models, publishing articles with a large IF, conducting several clinical trials in collaboration with spa facilities, and much more.
Our aim is to continue the tradition of the "Balneological Journal", which was published by the Research Institute of Balneology (VUB) since 1973 and was discontinued in 1990 in accordance with the termination of the Institute's activities.
One of the problems of today's spa industry is the lack of professionals, so we also focus on educational activities. We are trying to contribute to building a branch of a university or an independent university with a focus on physical medicine, rehabilitation and balneology in the Karlovy Vary Region.

At the beginning of 2025 we visited the robotics laboratory of one of our strategic partners of the CLV project - the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the CTU.
