2. What data we process

We process personal data that you provide us with, for example, when registering for an event, via a contact form, by subscribing to a newsletter or in the context of professional cooperation. Typically this includes:

• name, surname, title
• e-mail, telephone
• organisation, function
• the content of the enquiry or communication
• any other data related to the event or cooperation

Forms can be run through Microsoft Forms. For sending newsletters we use the Ecomail service, whose provider ensures the security of personal data processing in accordance with applicable legislation.

3. Purposes of processing and legal basis

We process personal data in order to:

• compliance with legal obligations,
• scientific and research activities of the Institute,
• organisation and evaluation of events,
• communication with experts, partners and the public,
• performance of contractual relations,
• keeping you informed about the Institute's activities, including sending you a newsletter if you have given your consent.

The legal basis is:

• performance of a legal obligation,
• the legitimate interests of the Institute (in particular scientific activities and internal management),
• performance of the contract,
• consent of the data subject.

4. Recipients of personal data

Beneficiaries may be:

• public institutions in the performance of their statutory duties,
• project partners and collaborating organisations in science and research,
• contractual partners,
• IT and marketing service providers (e.g. Ecomail),
• the public, if the data subject has consented to this (e.g. attendees of public events).

5. Data retention period

We keep personal data for the time necessary to fulfil the above purposes, but no longer than the time limits set by law.

You have the right:

• to access their personal data,
• to correct or delete data,
• to limit processing,
• on data portability,
• object to processing,
• file a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz).
