The Institute of Spa and Balneology is the first and only public research institution of the Karlovy Vary Region. We strive for a transformation of the spa industry based on science, innovation and sustainability, which will significantly improve the quality and efficiency of spa care in the Karlovy Vary Region and strengthen its position as a centre of excellence for spa and balneology throughout Europe. We support the application of new scientific knowledge, the introduction of new technologies and the use of research results in spa practice. We place particular emphasis on the principles of openness, transparency, honesty and integrity.
