Today, in cooperation with the Falkensteiner Spa Resort Mariánské Lázně, we have launched a study to objectify the effects of forest therapy (shinrin-yoku) in a climate spa.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the short-term effect of this procedure on the psychological and physiological state of the population of Mariánské Lázně. In particular, we monitor changes in mood, stress and anxiety levels, but also selected physiological parameters - for example, blood pressure, sympathetic and parasympathetic activity, heart rate variability and quantitative assessment of the autonomic system.

The study serves as a pilot test of the effects of forest therapy in the natural environment of a spa town.
