European Health Tourism Industry Summit

Our director Ing. Alina Huseynli, MBA, attended the prestigious "European Health Tourism Industry Summit" held at the European Parliament in Brussels this week. The event was organized under the auspices of the Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Transport and Tourism and UN Ambassador for Tourism, MEP Istvan Ujhelyi.
The event brought together a number of leading healthcare professionals. Among them were MEPs Jordi Solé Ferrando, Elena Kountoura, Josianne Cutajar, Romana Tomc, Tomislav Sokol, Marian-Jean Marinescu, Andrey Kovatchev, Emil Radev and Franc Bogovic. The meeting was also attended by Eduardo Santander Fernández-Portillo, Director General of the European Commission for Tourism, Misa Labarile from the European Commission, Prof. Todorka Kostadinova from the University of Varna, Dalip Kumar Chopra, President of the Foundation for Healthcare and Wellness Promotion in India.
Main topics of discussion:
* Rapid population ageing
* The importance of prevention as the basis for effective health care
* Cooperation within the EU on research and education projects
* Exchange of knowledge and experience as a key to further development of health tourism.
