We attended a conference on mineral waters and spa tourism in the Polish spa town of Ciechocinek.

The town is famous for its brine springs and its historically unique method of salt production using graduation towers. Today, these towers are no longer used for industrial purposes, but serve as a natural inhalatorium.

The evaporation of the brine creates an aerosol rich in minerals, which generates a specific microclimate beneficial to the respiratory tract.

At the conference, we presented our research activities in the field of balneology and natural therapeutic resources, and we also learned about the challenges currently facing the balneology sector in Poland.

Thank you for the invitation, and we’re already looking forward to next year’s event!
