To mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, our colleague Ing. Jana Walterová, Ph.D., accepted an invitation to the studio of Czech Radio Karlovy Vary. In the interview, she discussed not only the representation of women in research in the field of spa medicine and balneology, but also what science in this field looks like in everyday practice.
At the Institute of Spa Medicine and Balneology, we consider the equal participation of women and men in research to be a natural part of the work of a modern scientific institution. Science is based on expertise, competence, and the quality of results—and these are precisely the standards we uphold at ILaBu.
International Day of Women and Girls in Science is an opportunity to reflect on how diversity in research teams contributes to the quality of research. We would like to thank all our female and male researchers for the work they do every day to advance the field and enhance the scientific credibility of the Czech spa industry.
