Great news!
We have submitted the strategic project Spa Research Centre to the relevant call of the Operational Programme Fair Transformation!
We are the third project within the region and the first regional project to be submitted for consideration!
CLV project activities were designed in response to the needs of spa facilities, spa towns and regional governments. During the preparation phase of the project, considerable effort was devoted to identifying the causes of the current problems in the region, and the expectations of the stakeholders. For this purpose, a number of specific analyses were carried out, expert teams met, a questionnaire survey was conducted, workshops and conferences were organised.
The benefits of the project are clearly linked to the transformation priorities defined in the Fair Spatial Transformation Plan 2021-2030.
The results of the project will contribute to the overall increase in the economic activity of the region, especially by focusing on promising industries with high added value. The spa industry is the mainstay of the economy and prosperity of the Karlovy Vary Region and, in conjunction with tourism, its greatest competitive advantage compared to neighbouring regions.
We now face a four-stage evaluation process, which takes 120 calendar days and includes an assessment of both the formal aspects and the economic aspects of the project and its real benefits.
