We participated in the international scientific conference European Geosciences Union General Assembly (EGU 2025) in Vienna. Our colleague Ing. Jana Walterová, Ph.D., presented her ongoing research on the environmental part of the Spa Research Centre project.

The post titled Air quality issues in therapeutically exposed locations introduced the concept of a therapeutic spa landscape - an environment that promotes health and well-being through its complex effects (natural, social and cultural elements). Air quality plays a key role.

The presentation was part of the expert section on environmental aspects of health. It included the results of measurements from locations such as Lázně Kynžvart and Karlovy Vary, where the ILaB team monitors, for example, concentrations of negative air ions, volatile organic compounds, biogenic elements, noise and light conditions.

Participation in EGU 2025 allowed us to present our research to an expert audience, receive valuable feedback and establish new contacts for further collaboration in the field of environmental and spa research.
