Participation in the Czech-Israeli Chamber of Commerce trade mission

From 18.06.-21.06.2023, the researcher and also the Chairman of the Council of the Institute of Spa and Balneology v.v.i. MUDr. Ladislav Špišák, CSc participated in the trade mission of the Czech-Israeli Chamber of Commerce in Tel Aviv. He participated in the mission together with representatives of the Czech Parliament headed by the Speaker M. Pekarova and twenty Czech businessmen from the Czech Republic.

Valuable contacts have been established with Israeli research institutions, with which it will be possible to collaborate on joint projects in the near future. During the mission, the participants were introduced to upcoming challenges suitable for Czech-Israeli cooperation.

Specifically, these are :

  • Challenges DELTA 2 - programme of TE Czech Republic and Israel Innovation Authority ,
  • V4 Innovators in Israel programme - intensive workshops for start-ups , MIT and Czechinvest,
  • Inter - Action (INTER-EXCELLENCE programme of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Czech Republic and the Israeli Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology with the themes Health and Medicine and Data science (AI applications in environmental protection and energy) .
  • EIT Hub Israel project - "Calling to Scale" - for late-stage start ups in Health, Renewable Energy, Climate - Plastic and Fuel Substitutes.

A meeting was held with representatives of research institutes at the Dead Sea with an interest in participating in the International Balneological Congress in K. Vare and cooperation in research.

The ILaB presentation at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tel Aviv, where all participants were present, was also very beneficial.

Negotiations with Israeli business partners took place on 19.6. and 20.6.2023.
