In the second week of April, we welcomed a delegation from the Institut du Thermalisme - Université de Bordeaux to the Institute of Spa and Balneology. This French institute has been operating since 2000 and through a personal meeting we discovered how close our research topics and approaches are.

During the visit, we introduced our institution and key activities, including the Spa Research Centre project, which links natural healing resources with current scientific methods and contemporary spa issues. In return, our colleagues from the Institut du Thermalisme gave us an overview of their educational activities and programmes in which the institute is involved.

The delegation was guided through the spa zone - we visited the underground of the Hot Spring and ended the walk with a guided tour of the Imperial Baths.

We are pleased that the activities of our institute are also gaining interest among the professional public abroad. We believe that this visit will also contribute to the establishment of professional contacts and future cooperation in the European context.

More information about the institution can be found at this link.
