The 2nd Balneology Conference was held on 8 June in the new building of the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Pilsen as part of the 43rd Immunoanalytical Days.

It was co-organized by the Institute of Spa and Balneology, v. v. i. represented in the organizing team by doc. RNDr. Judita Kinkorova, CSc. MUDr. Ladislav Špišák, CSc.

The conference presented a wide range of lectures, which primarily focused on medical research, innovations and new trends in the field. We got a unique opportunity to discuss together not only the results of balneology research, but also the challenges and priorities of the spa industry.

During the conference, the intensive educational and therapeutic programme ONKOFIT-SPA was presented, as well as a preclinical study of the therapeutic effect of microbubble water baths on skin diseases and a project for the preparation and use of humolites disintegrated by hydrodynamic cavitation. New trends and innovations in the field of spa and balneology were also discussed.

We thank the speakers for their useful presentations and the participants for the inspiring discussion. We look forward to next year's event!
