The 22nd Congress of the Asian Federation of Endocrinological Societies (AFES 2023) was held in Bangkok from 16-19 November 2023.
The Congress is held every two years in different Asian capitals.
This year, the Institute of Spa and Balneology together with the University Hospital Pilsen was invited to present research on the determination of vitamin D in our population and its blood levels in oncological and infectious diseases with a focus on COVID-19 and its future prognosis.
The results of this research were presented by the Chairman of the Council of the Institute of Spa and Balneology, prim. MUDr. Ladislav Špišák, CSc. Proof of the topicality of this issue was the subsequent rich discussion.
We are proud to have the opportunity to present our results at such a prestigious forum and we highly appreciate the cooperation with the University Hospital Pilsen on research projects. This exemplary cooperation represents a significant contribution to the development of medical and spa research and we expect it to bring further positive results and opportunities for future projects.
