Grand Opening of the Drinking Cure - #PijuPrameny

Dear friends of health and admirers of the Karlovy Vary mineral springs, we cordially invite you to the grand opening of the drinking cure as part of the initiative organised by the Infocentrum of the City of Karlovy Vary, entitled #PijuPrameny, which will take place on 3 March from 17:00 at the Mill Colonnade in Karlovy Vary.

As part of this event, our institute has prepared a research study monitoring changes in laboratory values and liver elasticity examinations in participants undergoing a three-week drinking cure. The results of the first phase of the study suggest that drinking treatment with the Karlovy Vary springs has the potential to generate a positive effect on hepatic steatosis. It is important to emphasise that hepatic steatosis can lead to more serious conditions, such as steatohepatitis, cirrhosis, and even liver cancer. Therefore, an approach focused on the prevention and treatment of this condition is essential.

Our shared goal with the Infocentrum of the City of Karlovy Vary is to ensure that the public has access to all available information about the Karlovy Vary mineral springs and their beneficial effects.
