This week we took part in the international Society for Reproductive and Infant Psychology (SRIP) conference at the University of Chester in the United Kingdom.

Our colleague Mgr. Ing. Alena Lochmannová, Ph.D. et Ph.D., MBA presented an overview of findings on the use of balneotherapy in gynaecology and infertility treatment. We focused on the role of spa procedures, their effect on alleviating chronic pelvic pain in endometriosis, and on patients' overall quality of life.

We also presented our ongoing clinical study in Františkovy Lázně to our foreign colleagues. The study monitors not only hormonal and clinical indicators in women, but also their perceived stress levels and long-term conception success rates.

The topic attracted great interest and confirmed the importance of linking spa medicine with psychological research. We are bringing home plenty of inspiration for future work, as well as newly established international contacts.
