World Congress of Endocrinology & Metabolism (WCEM 2026)

The Chair of the Council, prim. MUDr. Ladislav Špišák, CSc., represented our institute at the World Congress of Endocrinology & Metabolism (WCEM 2026), held on 15–17 September 2026 in Kyoto, Japan.

At the congress, he delivered an expert presentation titled "Thyroid Dysfunction During Cancer Therapy: Practical Interpretation of Thyroid Function Tests and Clinical Management", which addressed thyroid dysfunction during cancer treatment and its clinical management.

The contribution was prepared in cooperation with the University Hospital in Pilsen (Fakultní nemocnice Plzeň).

Participation in major international congresses is an important part of our efforts to share research results, build international cooperation and connect spa research with other areas of contemporary medicine.
