Guided Walk: The History of Spring Capping in Mariánské Lázně
Why do the springs emerge exactly where we know them today? How does the water reach the drinking fountains? And how did this shape the appearance of spa architecture?
We invite you to the first guided walk of this year, which we have prepared in Mariánské Lázně. Hydrogeologist David Landa will guide you through the town. The route will lead from the Singing Fountain to the Rudolf Spring and will focus on the history of the springs and the buildings around them.
Participants will learn:
- how mineral water was captured and used in the past
- how the surroundings of the springs and spa buildings have changed over time
- how the town developed in connection with natural healing resources
