Conference marking the 100th anniversary of Marie Curie-Skłodowska's visit to Jáchymov
We are preparing a professional conference dedicated to the legacy of Marie Curie-Skłodowska, focusing on important scientific topics related to radon therapy, the history of Jáchymov, and current challenges in public health.
This conference has been granted patronage by the Governor of the Karlovy Vary Region Mgr. Jana Mračková Vildumetzová and the Mayor of the City of Karlovy Vary Ing. Andrea Pfeffer Ferklová, MBA.

Venue: Hotel Běhounek, Jáchymov
The professional programme will include, among other things, lectures on the following topics:
- The history and significance of Marie Curie-Skłodowska's visit to Jáchymov in 1925
- Radon: past, present and future
- Clinical applications of radon therapy: successes and challenges
- Radon in public health: challenges and solutions
The conference will bring together experts from the fields of science, medicine and public health, offering a space for sharing knowledge and experience.
