We have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Association of Hotels and Restaurants of the Czech Republic and the Faculty of Education at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. The memorandum represents an important step towards the systematic integration of higher education, research, and practice in the fields of balneology, medical wellness, and healthcare.
The main objectives of the cooperation are:
-
support and development of study programs at the Faculty of Education, University of West Bohemia, especially in the areas of kinesiology and wellness,
-
providing professional training, specialized seminars, and workshops,
-
enabling professional internships for students in hotel and spa facilities in the Karlovy Vary Region,
-
connecting academia, research, and practice so that graduates acquire skills that meet the needs of modern spa care.
We have long been committed to developing education in the spa industry based on scientific knowledge and close cooperation with practitioners. Starting next year, we will be involved in teaching three specialized subjects as part of the Kinanthropology and Wellness Specialist study program. The teaching will also include the active involvement of the new ILaBu demonstration laboratory, which will enable students to familiarize themselves with modern balneology, diagnostic methods, and current trends in spa care directly in practice.
The signed memorandum confirms the shared ambition of all three institutions to systematically develop high-quality education for professionals who will be able to respond to the challenges of the present and future spa and healthcare industries.
