Today, in cooperation with the Falkensteiner Spa Resort Mariánské Lázně hotel, we launched a study focusing on the objectification of the effects of forest therapy (shinrin-yoku) in climatic spas.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the short-term impact of this procedure on the psychological and physiological state of the residents of Mariánské Lázně. We monitor in particular changes in mood, levels of stress and anxiety, as well as selected physiological parameters – for example, blood pressure, sympathetic and parasympathetic activity, heart rate variability, and quantitative assessment of the autonomic nervous system.

The study serves as a pilot verification of the effects of forest therapy in the natural environment of a spa town.
