2nd Balneology Conference

As part of the 43rd Immunoanalytical Days, the 2nd Balneology Conference was held on 8 June in the new building of the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Pilsen.
It was co-organized by the Institute of Spa and Balneology, v. v. i., represented on the organizing team by doc. RNDr. Judita Kinkorová, CSc., and MUDr. Ladislav Špišák, CSc.
The conference featured a wide range of presentations focused primarily on medical research, innovations and new trends in the field. It provided a unique opportunity to discuss not only the results of balneological research but also the challenges and priorities of the spa sector.
The conference also presented, for example, the intensive educational and therapeutic program ONKOFIT-SPA, a preclinical study on the therapeutic effect of microbubble water baths on skin diseases, and a project on the preparation and use of humolites disintegrated by hydrodynamic cavitation. New trends and innovations in the spa sector and balneology were also discussed.
We would like to thank the speakers for their valuable presentations and the participants for the inspiring discussion. We look forward to next year's edition!
