35th Annual APASL Congress in Istanbul

We took part in the 35th Annual Congress of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL).

Prim. MUDr. Ladislav Špišák, CSc. presented our pilot study on the effect of the Karlovy Vary drinking cure on hepatic steatosis (MASLD).

What did the study show? Liver steatosis improved significantly after a 21-day cure, and this effect persisted even after six months. More advanced changes, such as fibrosis, remained stable.
