European award for education in spa medicine

The Institute of Spa and Balneology has received an award from the European Spas Association (ESPA) in the field of education. Following previous recognitions for our research activities, we have now also been honored for the development of professional education in spa medicine and balneology.

We focus on educating healthcare staff, spa facility management and university students. Every month we organize accredited courses for physicians and other healthcare personnel, hold international workshops, and cooperate with the Czech Technical University, where we are responsible for the course Physiotherapy in Spa Medicine. Classes take place directly in Karlovy Vary. At the same time, we are developing our own e-learning platform.

The ESPA award confirms that systematic work in the field of education is meaningful and produces results even on an international scale.
