Heritage Forum: New Technologies and the Future of Spa Towns

On Friday, May 9, we took part in the Heritage Forum in Mariánské Lázně, which was held on the occasion of the General Assembly of the Great Spa Towns of Europe network. The event focused on the protection of cultural and natural heritage in the context of spa towns – with an emphasis on the use of modern technologies and interdisciplinary cooperation.

Our director, Ing. Alina Huseynli, MBA, took part in a panel discussion on tools for monitoring the condition of cultural heritage together with representatives of the National Heritage Institute and the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague. The discussion covered the potential use of VR/AR technologies, sensor systems, participatory platforms and other tools that can support the protection of the values of spa sites. Great emphasis was also placed on education, open dialogue and public engagement.
