Professional seminar "What's new in addiction treatment?"

On 18 June 2024, we held the professional seminar "What's new in addiction treatment?", organized in cooperation with PMI Science.

The programme was packed and informative. We would like to thank all the speakers for their valuable contributions:

- MUDr. Jana Unar Vinklerová from the Department of Pharmacology, Masaryk University Brno, for her lecture on the epidemiology of tobacco addiction.

- MUDr. Jozef Čupka from a general practitioner's office in Prague, for sharing his experience with treating tobacco addiction in general practice.

- MUDr. Karel Moravec from the Department of Psychiatry in Karlovy Vary, for his lecture on the bio-psycho-social etiology of addiction and its manifestations and treatment.

The discussion, led by prim. MUDr. Ladislav Špišák CSc., was highly stimulating and provided an opportunity for the exchange of experience and views.

The seminar was accredited under Czech Medical Chamber Professional Regulation No. 16.

We hope all participants enjoyed the event and gained plenty of useful information.
