Following the Springs of the Aš Region: A Hydrogeologist's Perspective at the Healthy Festival in Aš

On April 6, 2025, we took part in the program of the public event Following the Springs of the Aš Region, held as part of the Healthy Festival in Aš. Our colleague, hydrogeologist RNDr. Tomáš Vylita, Ph.D., presented the natural wealth of the Aš region and the wider Karlovy Vary Region.

The event was divided into two parts – the morning featured a guided walk to local mineral springs, followed by a public lecture. In it, Tomáš Vylita focused primarily on the geological and hydrogeological aspects of the occurrence of mineral waters in western Bohemia.

The second part of the lecture block was complemented by historian Mgr. Lubomír Zeman, who presented the history and present state of the spa therapeutic landscape of the Aš region.

The event concluded with a tasting of five different mineral springs from the Karlovy Vary Region, which drew great interest and amused reactions from the participants.

We are pleased to have been part of this meaningful public event and to have contributed to spreading knowledge about the natural healing resources of our region.
