Launch of the Spa Physiotherapy course under the CTU Faculty of Biomedical Engineering

On 18 March 2025, we ceremonially launched the teaching of a new course, "Physiotherapy in Spa Medicine" in Karlovy Vary. Together with Mayor Ing. Andrea Pfeffer Ferklová, MBA, Director Ing. Alina Huseynli, MBA, RNDr. Patricie Hloušková, Ph.D., and MUDr. Ladislav Špišák, CSc. we opened a new chapter in the education of future spa care specialists.

This course is intended for students of the Bachelor's and follow-up Master's degree programs in Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. Its aim is to combine the latest scientific findings with practical experience from the spa environment, so that students gain the comprehensive knowledge and skills needed for their future professional careers.

For our institute, this represents a significant step in expanding educational programs focused on the spa sector. We have long been striving to establish a dedicated degree program that would address this field systematically, and the launch of this new course is an important step towards that goal.
