The future of the spa sector rests on data: Read our interview with our Director.

Share

The spa sector is currently transforming into a modern healthcare segment grounded in real data and innovation. What tasks await the Centre for Spa Research in the near future, and where will the field be heading in the coming years? These are the topics discussed by the Director of our institute, Ing. Alina Huseynli, MBA, in her latest interview for OPST.

In the interview, you will learn, for example:

  • Why scientific research is essential, and why experience or tradition alone are no longer sufficient in modern healthcare.

  • How the Centre for Spa Research project helps to objectively document the effects of spa treatment, and how it combines medical data with environmental and socioeconomic research.

  • Or how research is carried out directly under real conditions at Karlovy Vary spa facilities, and what this brings to the development of human capital and the competitiveness of the region.

"It's not about abandoning tradition, but rather about approaching it in a new way and grounding it in data, research and current knowledge. We want the spa sector to regain the position it historically held, but this time as a modern field that is a fully-fledged part of healthcare in Europe,"adds the Director in the interview.
