Discussion on spa medicine in the Karlovy Vary Region with Polish physicians

As part of an initiative by the CzechTourism agency, we welcomed a group of physicians from Poland here at the Institute. The morning programme was devoted to a discussion on spa medicine in the Karlovy Vary Region – we presented our research activities as well as the facilities we are building within the Spa Research Centre project. Our guests were interested in the history and traditions of our spas, current scientific approaches, and upcoming clinical studies aimed at verifying the effects of spa treatment.

After the professional discussion, we also took the visitors on a tour of the underground of the Hot Spring Colonnade.

We greatly appreciate the interest shown by our Polish colleagues in Czech spa medicine and their efforts to establish international cooperation.
