Spa Care as Part of Prevention – Article in Komora Magazine

In the July issue of Komora magazine (July–August 2025, Volume 26), the article Spa Care – A Tool for Comprehensive Disease Prevention, was published, prepared by the director of our institute, Ing. Alina Huseynli, MBA, and the Chairman of the ILaB Council, MUDr. Ladislav Špišák, CSc.
In the text, we address the growing role of prevention in public health and human resources policy. In our view, spa care is an effective tool for promoting the health of employed persons – that is, part of so-called workplace health promotion. The article also mentions the results of our research, including a study focused on the effects of the Karlovy Vary drinking cure on liver steatosis and research into the impact of short-term spa stays on clients' mental health.
We believe that the Czech spa sector can play a key role in a sustainable healthcare system – as a natural part of effective prevention. You can find the article in the special section Health & Companies 2025 of Komora magazine, whose cover theme is People in the Leading Role.
