As part of the professional programme, the strategic project Centre for Spa Research was presented, along with selected research activities. The presentation focused on connecting traditional spa care with research and on the role of spa medicine in prevention, rehabilitation and public health.
The conference provided a platform for professional discussion on current trends in spa medicine and also highlighted the dynamic development of this field in a number of post-Soviet countries, which have in recent years been investing significantly in research and the building of scientific capacity in balneology.
The event was attended by experts from Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Poland, Hungary, Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries. The conference was organised at a high professional level and contributed to strengthening international exchange of experience and establishing new professional contacts.
The participation of the Institute of Spa and Balneology in the conference represents a further step in the development of international cooperation in the fields of spa medicine, balneological research and the training of professionals and contributes to strengthening the position of Czech spa medicine in the international context.
