The Mission of Sports Medicine – Session at the Chamber of Deputies

On 9 December 2024, we took part in a session at the Chamber of Deputies on the topic "The Mission of Sports Medicine, or Towards Health through Movement". The meeting was organized by the Vice-Chair of the Health Committee, MUDr. Tom Philipp, Ph.D., MBA, and the Chair of the Subcommittee for Specialized and Professional Education, Science and Research, Mgr. Michaela Šebelová.

The program included presentations focused on the importance of movement for health, followed by a discussion that also touched on the topic of spa medicine. Among the presenters was our colleague prof. MUDr. Martin Matoulek, Ph.D.

The session confirmed that the importance of movement for health deserves further development. In our Spa Research Centre project, we are therefore also investigating outdoor physical activity in the spa therapeutic landscape. In this way, this project too can contribute to improving spa care and bring tangible benefits for patients.
