We presented research and a vision for the future of spa medicine at the tourist information centres meeting

On April 29, 2025, we took part in the cross-border meeting of tourist information centres of the EUREGIO EGRENSIS region, held at the Chopin House in Mariánské Lázně. The Institute of Spa and Balneology was represented by RNDr. Patricie Hloušková, Ph.D., who delivered an expert lecture entitled “The Future of Spa Medicine: Research, Objectification and Innovation at the ILaB”.

In our presentation, we showcased the integration of traditional spa care with modern approaches such as digitalisation, artificial intelligence and telemedicine. We also emphasised the importance of well-trained information centre staff, who serve as a key link between expert content and the public. The presentation also introduced the Spa Research Centre project and its contribution to regional development.

The meeting brought valuable contacts for future cooperation in the field of spa education as well as joint promotion of the region as a health tourism destination.
