Participation in the annual conference and meeting of strategic projects of the Karlovy Vary Region under the OP ST

We took part in the first Annual Conference of the Just Transition Operational Programme entitled “Simply TRANSFORMING!”, held at the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. The aim of the conference was to assess progress in the transformation of coal regions two years after the programme's launch and to share experience among experts from public administration, the European Commission, and representatives of coal regions from the Czech Republic and abroad.

The conference featured a number of thought-provoking discussions with the participation of representatives from the European Commission, the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry for Regional Development, and other institutions. Our project, the Centre for Spa Research (CLV), was also presented as part of the programme, with its significance highlighted by the Deputy Governor of the Karlovy Vary Region, Martin Hurajčík. He mentioned not only its contribution to the transformation of the Karlovy Vary Region, but also its importance in a European context.

The conference was followed by a meeting of strategic projects of the Karlovy Vary Region, held in Mariánské Lázně with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of the Environment, the State Environmental Fund, the European Commission, and the European Parliament. The discussion focused on concrete steps and cooperation towards the successful transformation of the region.

We will continue to contribute to the development of the Karlovy Vary Region through expert research and innovation in the field of spa medicine. We thank all our partners for their support and cooperation.
